GP surgeries across south west London are available for essential services over Easter to support patients during the coronavirus outbreak.
People will be able to access GP services on both Good Friday (10 April) and Easter Monday (12 April) in line with the usual core surgery hours.
Although those days are Bank Holidays GPs will be working normal days due to the exceptional circumstances with Covid-19.
Patients are asked to either call the practice or go online to arrange a consultation.
Dr Nicola Jones, GP and Lead for Primary Care in South West London said:
“GPs will be available for essential services on both Bank Holidays this Easter – the extra appointments with doctors will no doubt be a big help for residents who are ill at this difficult time.”
“If you or your family are unwell please call your local surgery or book an appointment online rather than going to your practice so we can make sure patients are cared for by the right person, in the right place for their illness.”
“Our main priority will of course be supporting people with urgent needs and if people need to be seen face-to-face they will be.”
“I would like to thank all our GPs, nurses and practice staff for their commitment and dedication at this time.”
“If you have symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature or a new, continuous cough), use the 111 coronavirus service.”
