Temporary enhanced primary care hub to open at Queen Mary’s Hospital from 1 December – accessed via GP referral or NHS 111

The new temporary enhanced primary care hub at Queen Mary’s Hospital will be opening on 1 December 2020. The service will provide up to 480 urgent and routine appointments each week for local people and will be open from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.

We would like to make all patients aware that the enhanced primary care hub is not a walk-in service.

This is to reduce the risk of Covid-19 spreading to staff and patients at Queen Mary’s – appointments will be made by GP referral or by the NHS 111 service. Patients who do not have an appointment will not be able to walk-in to the hub.

Led by Battersea Healthcare CIC (Wandsworth GP Federation), with support from St George’s, services provided at the pilot hub will include treatment for wounds and minor injuries and GP appointments.

No permanent changes to services at Queen Mary’s Hospital will be considered without formally and comprehensively engaging with community and staff.
