Sutton’s Mayor and Deputy Mayor meet and thank staff at St Nicholas Vaccination Centre

Sutton’s Madam Mayor, Cllr Trish Fivey, and Deputy Madam Mayor, Cllr Annie Moral visited the St Nicholas Vaccination Centre, Sutton on Saturday 2 July to meet and thank the staff and volunteers. During their visit, the Centre’s Matron, Wendy Dyer, explained the patient journey through the vaccination centre – from the entrance through to the jab and introduced Cllr Fivey and Cllr Moral to members of staff and volunteers.

Matron Wendy Dyer said: “We were pleased to welcome the Mayor and Deputy Mayor to our vaccination centre and to showcase to them all the work we’re doing to protect Sutton residents from Covid-19.“Visits from local dignitaries are a morale-boost for the staff and volunteers who go above and beyond to protect people and we were delighted that they were able to spend some time with us on Saturday.”

Madam Mayor, Cllr Trish Fivey said: “I was so pleased to be able to visit the St Nicholas Vaccination Centre and meet Matron Wendy Dyer and her team.  It was really inspirational to see the smooth operation of the Centre and how dedicated the staff and volunteers are.  We would like to encourage everyone who has yet to have their vaccine – to make an appointment, or visit as a walk-in, at the Centre as soon as possible. Madam Deputy Mayor, Cllr Annie Moral said:  “We were both delighted to meet the team at the Centre to thank them for their hard work vaccinating our residents. 

Vaccines are safe and effective and protect us and our family and friends.  They will help us all get our lives back to normal.
