Kidney proposals: next steps
The NHS has now completed and published the findings from the public and patient engagement for the proposal put forward by kidney clinicians from St Helier and St George’s hospitals to improve inpatient care for kidney patients.
Almost eight out of ten kidney patients across south west London and Surrey supported the proposal, with seven in ten of those who felt their journeys would be longer still responding positively on the grounds of receiving better care.
A decision making business case, which has been shaped by the engagement, will now be presented for scrutiny to the SW London and Surrey Committees in Common (CiC). The CiC will be asked to approve that the proposal be taken forward to the next stage, which would be a full decision making case.
The virtual CiC will be held in public from 6pm – 7pm on Thursday 18 November. Stakeholders and members of the public can access the meeting by clicking here Questions on the proposal should be submitted in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 0203 922 2561 for either the proposal programme team or the CiC to answer during the meeting. Please ensure all questions are submitted by 12pm on Thursday 18 November.
