Since 1 April 2020, NHS South West London Clinical Commissioning Group has been a statutory organisation. We operate within the framework set out within our Constitution and have our own set of policies and procedures.
We work with patients, carers and the public to embed the values of the NHS Constitution into everything we do. Our Governing Body meets in public every other month.
Buying healthcare services
We plan and buy healthcare services from local organisations to meet the health needs of local people. The services we commission have to be affordable within the limits of our available resources, with emphasis on the quality of outcome, rather than the quantity of provision.
Buying healthcare services involves contracting with existing service providers and sometimes includes competitive tendering. We follow the Department of Health procurement guide for commissioners.
Current commissioning plans and related tendering opportunities are published on the gov.uk contracts finder.
